Why we started
Care homes don’t fail inspections because they lack policies. They fail because those policies were written for auditors, not for the carer on shift.
Most homes have hundreds of policies. Few of them help the person standing in a resident’s room at 3am, wondering what to do next.
So in 2024, we started Boost from the other end. What does a care assistant actually need to know? How do you check they’ve understood it, not just signed it? And what happens when they’re unsure and there’s nobody to ask?
